Piga Nation is an in development historical simulation game in which the player has to lead a civilization from the Ancient Age to the Modern or Future Age. The game focuses on the five main Civilization locations from history (Europe, Asia, Africa, South and North America). While developing the nation the player has to define government policy, taxation, economics and other management tasks. The player can create their own persona as leader as well as create a character for their nation through various tools (such as "Head" selection and a Flag Editor). The player will be able to engage in trade and warfare with other civilizations. The player can also build up their civilizations through constructing Public Works or Wonders.

History of the Project
The idea to create a completely domestic oriented history game was thought up by the Piga developers around the year 2006 CE. The idea was to encapsule functions like government selection, technological research, and other domestic functions from games like Civilization and Age of Empires into a single game of that focus. The game was originally called Piga Government and was to be developed for Microsoft Windows with Game Maker. The project however received very little advancement and soon fell into disrepair and minimal importance. Later in fall of 2007 CE, the concept of implementing the idea for Linux with Gambas was thought up by Graham Wilson and that same day he begun making it. He thereafter entitled the project and game Piga Nation. Piga Nation is also going to contain game play elements from the online simulation game Jennifer Government: NationStates. The game's development was started be developing the "Age Controls", shortly after "Government Selection" was created, from there further features where added and to this day development continues. Graham feels it as one of his most promising projects due to its originality and seeming ease of development not seen as much in other projects.
